DR-WALTER appoints further Managing Director and fills the position of Head of Finance

Due to the strong growth of the company in recent years, the specialist for foreign insurance has a new Managing Director in Angelika V. Kolmer and a Head of Finance in Dirk Imbach-Ratz.
From team leader to the highest management level
Angelika V. Kolmer (64) has been working for DR-WALTER since 1994. She was responsible for setting up the claims department. Since 2005, she has successfully managed this department and has distinguished herself through her well-founded specialist knowledge and confident leadership. In her new function as Chief Operations Officer (COO), Angelika V. Kolmer is responsible for the areas of contract, payment and claims. Her future tasks include improving the customer experience by simplifying, personalizing and digitalizing business processes and structures. "It is a great honor for me to become the third Managing Director in the over 60-year history of the family business. And the first female Managing Director. I look forward to being able to contribute even more actively and creatively to the further development of DR-WALTER in the future".
Reinforcement by Head of Finance
Due to the growth of the company in recent years, the position of Head of Finance was newly established and filled by Dirk Imbach-Ratz (50).The business administration graduate has extensive professional experience in the tourism industry. Most recently, he was Head of Finance & Controlling for Tour Vital Touristik, which has been part of the Thomas Cook Group since 2011. His area of responsibility includes finance, human resources, compliance and quality assurance.
Realignment of DR-WALTER
The new appointments will enable CEO Reinhard Bellinghausen to push the ongoing digitalization processes more strongly. "With the new positions, we have put DR-WALTER in a very good position for the next steps, in order to continue to be successful in the future in the wake of fundamental changes in the industry and new dynamics in the digitalized economy. In addition, we can now tackle the challenges posed by the Covid 19 crisis even more efficiently", says the CEO.
