The renowned travel insurance experts Dr. Walter GmbH and Europ Assistance Versicherung AG have developed a new trip cancellation insurance together that can be purchased either as an individual or as an annual policy.

For individual trips, Deutsche Reiseversicherung offers a rate that takes into account trip cancellation and curtailment of travel and covers the exact trip price.
Especially the latter is a major advantage compared to regular trip cancellation policies that calculate premiums in different stages: since these stages are not based on the exact value of the trip, customers usually have to pay the premium for the next higher stage and not the one for their actual trip price. Deutsche Reiseversicherung has a different approach: it offers a precisely calculated trip cancellation insurance that provides a different premium for every trip price between € 100 and € 10,000.

For groups up to 4 members and for families up to 6 people traveling together benefit from the fact that Deutsche Reiseversicherung covers the total trip price with only one contract. This approach is usually more cost-effective than offering various different policies instead. Deutsche Reiseversicherung has no deductibles and can be purchased online.

The short term trip cancellation insurance (one year cover) includes more pricing levels than other similar policies and therefore provides a more customized insurance cover. This is of particular benefit for travelers who go on several cheap trips a year because Deutsche Reiseversicherung offers a rate for trips with a value of up to € 1,000.
