Through its commitment, the insurance broker wants to take responsibility in this scientific association and take part in the implementation of German and international travel law.

The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Reiserecht e.V. (DGfR) was founded in 1992. The non-profit association aims to support the development of German and international travel law on behalf of all parties in the tourism sector. The association aims to do so, among other things, through scientific presentations, workshops and conferences, promotion of scientific publications, exchanges of opinion between theorists and practitioners in the area of German and international travel law and through specific publications that focus on a certain topic.

The members of Deutsche Gesellschaft für Reiserecht e.V. include tour operators, airlines, travel agencies and travel insurers. All members have access to a database with judgments and court decisions from the area of travel law. Users can search the database for travel law-related judgments and decisions from Germany, Austria and the European Court of Justice. The database is regularly updated and expanded. At present, it includes more than 1,100 decisions from 1999 to today.
