Strategic development of the Human Resources department at DR-WALTER
07.06.2024
The rapidly growing SME is adding a key position to its management team as of June 1. In Laura Suhr, DR-WALTER has found the ideal candidate for the position of CHRO (Chief Human Resources Officer).
As a highly experienced manager, Laura Suhr (41) will be in charge of the complex HR processes at DR-WALTER. The number of employees at the German travel insurance and international health insurance expert has risen from 90 to 165 after COVID-19. This and the continued growing importance of attracting many well-trained specialists made the establishment of the new department particularly important. Dirk Imbach-Ratz, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), was previously responsible for HR management with great commitment and expertise. His successful work in HR has contributed significantly to the positive development of the company. Thanks to the establishment of the new division, Imbach-Ratz can now focus more on his core tasks. The new CHRO will be responsible for recruiting, hiring, developing and supporting DR-WALTER's diverse workforce.
Profound experience in the HR environment
Laura Suhr can look back on a remarkable career. After studying HR management and communication design, she had HR and budget responsibility for 550 employees in 13 hotels including gourmet restaurants (Castlewood Hotels Premier Asset Management GmbH) before moving to MEGABAD GmbH as Head of ESG & Employer Branding. At the mid-sized e-commerce company, which is one of the market leaders in the sanitary ware trade in Europe, Ms. Suhr was responsible for the conception and implementation of employer branding as well as the management and reporting of environmental, social and governance criteria.
"We are delighted that Laura Suhr has agreed to join the new Human Resources department. She will continue to shape our positive work and corporate culture and provide excellent support for DR-WALTER's digital transformation by professionalizing the HR team,” commented CEO Reinhard Bellinghausen on the new addition.
