Technical University Dresden awards 333 National Scholarships for Germany
04.12.2012
As one of the most successful universities in providing scholarships for Germany, the Technical University Dresden is able to award 333 scholarships for the academic year 2012/13. National Scholarships for Germany were introduced last year by the Federal Government and aim to provide particularly qualified and committed students with a monthly fee from private donors for the duration of one year. The second half of sponsorship is provided by the government itself. Scholarship holders receive a total amount of € 3,600. Dr. Walter GmbH gladly adapted the idea of educational sponsorship and hence awarded a science student with a sponsorship for the current academic year.
The Scholarship Award Ceremony at TU Dresden took place on 30 November 2012. The speakers provided their expectations on the National Scholarships for Germany, for example, that the scholarship holders are expected to develop their own ideas and impulses in shaping academic and student life at the TU. Claudia Reichstein, International Sales Director at Dr. Walter GmbH, traveled to Dresden to get to know and congratulate “her” student: “As a company that also provides international student programs, we like to take over social responsibility. By awarding scholarships to students, we aim to strengthen the areas of science, economy and culture alike.”
